I’m serious!  It really is National Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day!

I found this list of American Food and Drink Days floating around there on the internet.  Seems we’re also smack in the middle of National Pancake Week and almost all the way through Celebrate Chocolate Month.  I think I’m going to have to do some catching up on some chocolate consumption!

In honor of Dinah Doggie, who lives for what she knows as cookies, I offer this page of dog biscuits and other treats for your canine friend – and make sure you also check out this recipe for a doggie birthday cake!

And just so you can get ready for it, tomorrow is National Tortilla Chip Day!  Make yourself some homemade guacamole or black bean dip to go with those chips!

Personally, I’m waiting for the last day of February when it’s National Chocolate Souffle Day <insert big grin here>.

Oh, and my birthday is National Tapioca Day – I love tapioca pudding!  What’s being celebrated on your birthday?

Who decides these things?  Who comes up with what day today is?  I want that job!  In the meantime, I think I’ll just add a little more celebration and fun into the day every day… you can, too!

PS. I wonder when National Crème Brûlée Day is?

Note: when I first wrote this article, it contained a link to a website for people who love dogs and included recipes, articles, community and other resources that are no longer there due to the website shutting down in 2014 (three years after I wrote this article). If you’d like to know what happened to that website, please check out this article – the information is thoroughly researched and well-presented: What happened to I-Love-Dogs.com
