Three questions.

Seems like an easy thing to do, just answer three questions.

Think I’ll answer them one at a time.

Here’s number one – we’ll see how easy it is.

Who am I?

The things that come to mind quickly are my roles –

  • daughter
  • sister
  • wife (ok, ex-wife)
  • mother
  • keeper of pets
  • tender of gardens
  • maker of breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • car driver
  • walker
  • mailer of others’ envelopes
  • tweeter
  • Facebook friend
  • payer of bills
  • feeder of fish
  • temporary caretaker of Holly the Super Horse
  • water dish filler
  • grocery shopper
  • seeker of bargains
  • senior citizen
  • movie-lover
  • book reader
  • game player
  • traveler
  • adventure-seeker
  • lover of great espresso
  • glass blower
  • skydiver
  • writer
  • house-keeper
  • fire maker
  • bicycle rider
  • street fair lover
  • lover of beaches and oceans
  • shell-gatherer
  • road-tripper
  • lover of roller coasters
  • and so many more roles…

If I think beyond the words that describe the obvious roles that have settled on my shoulders since I arrived on this blue planet, I come up with some roles that have far less tangible words, roles that seem to have no edges to them, using descriptive words that overlap each other like lily pads in the pond.

I am a child of the universe, a flower of the sky, a fantastical star amongst stars, a bright shining blip on the radar of life.

I am one of a bazillion gazillion shiny points of light in the galaxy.

I am who I am.  I am a part of you.  I am that I am.  I AM.

I am.

What about you?  What’s your answer to this first question?  Take a moment and write some things down – you might be surprised what you come up with!

Next up: What do I want?
