The “new” little trailer is parked in the workshop of my friends, Seth & Tricia, where I can work on getting her cleaned up, spiffed up, all ready for the long-haul road trip I’ve envisioned – the three of us heading out across North America, encouraging adventure to find us, and friends to meet up with us.  If you are in one of these categories, let me know so we can connect our paths together!

Now…. take a look at these “before the spiffing up begins” pics showing the inside of the little no-name-yet trailer:

The dining room slash bedroom:

The kitchen:

The storage cabinet (or is it a vanity?):

The bathroom sink:

The very tiny refrigerator:

Since these pictures were taken, I’ve removed the faded brown-striped curtains around the dining table, cleaned the counter tops of who knows how many years of dust that accumulated while sitting outside in “storage”, thrown away the dirty haven’t-been-white-in-a-very-long-time terry-cloth towel curtains in the kitchen, swept the yucky brown industrial carpeting, and sprayed nearly half a bottle of industrial-strength Febreze inside, trying to eliminate the musty smells.

The fridge works great, all the lights turn on and off, the foam cushions are in great shape, the windows all open and close, Dinah Dog has lots of room to take naps.

We’re making progress!

Hey Frebbie! I did get her just south of Portland in Aurora…. she’d been parked in an out-building for the last bunch of years just waiting for me to come along!

    Miss Lois!

    Awesome is an understatement.
Please connect with my Mom (Loralie Mattice) and talk shop. Have her send a picture of her first trailer. You’ll dig it and totally relate.

Love this. You will move mountains. And traverse a few as well. Please spend a few days with me – got a big yard for you to park…

Hi Mark! Your mom and I do keep in touch (I love her and I can’t wait to actually meet her some day!) and I’ll definitely be asking about her trailer… you rock!

Dace, there is a toilet but no shower – when I’m not in a campground with facilities, I’ll be bathing in a “tub,” not the sink 🙂
