As promised in my last blog post, I’m letting you all know that, as luck would have it, Tricia didn’t win the brand new sewing machine grand prize at the quilt shop hop the two of us recently completed.
In fact, weird as this may seem, neither one of us won anything and the odds were really in our favor! Eighty-nine people completed the entire list of 20 quilt shops and turned in their “passports” – forty-one prizes were to be given out. That’s almost one out of every two people who could have won a prize. And we didn’t win anything!
We didn’t win anything!
Ok, I’m over it now. But I think Tricia really wanted that sewing machine. Her grandmother’s machine that she’s been sewing on is just way old and she was hoping and praying that she’d have a different brand new machine to be sewing on, starting today. We did get to meet and talk to the woman who organized the shop hop thing, and we poked around her shop, admiring her gorgeous quilts and fondling her fabulous fabrics. I suppose it was worth the trip just to do that, even though we also heard the sad news that we didn’t win anything.
Thanks to all who sent good vibes and wishes for Tricia to win – I think the universe must have something else far more fabulous in mind for her 🙂
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Sorry! But I like your “upbeat” attitude about what the Universe will be providing!
Thanks, Lorna! And I know the universe will take care of Tricia!
Bummer for sure! There must be a new and even better sewing machine lurking just around the corner. fingers crossed
Absolutely, Nancy! That’s what I say, too!
