The morning view

I opened my front door this morning and looked out; what a view!

The cool and very green grass at my feet; the wonderful maple tree Li’l Homey sits under; the uneaten pasture next door; my chair just waiting for me to get my book and have a seat; Mt. Hood in the distance hidden by its own bank of clouds; the sun already so bright it washes out the colors; a tiny patch of blue peeking through the clouds.

It’s quiet, except for a bunch of birds greeting the day, and an occasional car driving by on the nearby road.

It’s still cool, only 63 degrees.  There’s a light layer of clouds, adding the humidity I feel in the air.  Dinah pops out of the trailer door to roll in the grass.

I made a cup of tea and opened my email. This “quote of the day” met me:

“If all you did was just look for things to appreciate you would live a joyous, spectacular life.  If there was nothing else that you ever came to understand other than just look for things to appreciate, it’s the only tool you would ever need to predominately hook you up with who you really are.  That’s all you’d need.”  — Abraham, 2002

Ah, yes.  Appreciation.  How I appreciate the view this morning!

It’s a great way to start the day.  Thank you for sharing it with me!

I do love it, Debbie but I don’t tolerate the humidity anymore!  Give me a higher temp with a lower humidity any day!

Glad you’re lovin’ your “new” home – great, isn’t it?  Thanks for stopping by!

Looks calm and peaceful. It's always wonderful to sit under the shade of a nice big tree. I'm guessing your weather is cooler than it is here in the Southeast!

It was so quiet and nice, only the birds singing their morning songs.  It’s heading into the 90s with 50%+ humidity – it’s the humidity I don’t like! But the tree makes it so nice and Dinah Dog loves the cool grass.  Thanks for stopping by, Walker!  Always a pleasure…

Oh man, what I wouldn’t give for dry!  Enjoy your evening, Debbie!  Looks like you’ll be just a tad cooler than we are here in Portland.

Love this Lois!!!  The photo, the feeling and your writing, and also the Abe-Hicks quotation which I've been thinking about since I got it two days ago!!  Or was it yesterday?  I just know that I think I wanna post it on FBook because it's so simple and true.  Much love.

Hi Holly!  I really like Abraham… sometimes it’s so right on!  You should post it on FB!  Go ahead!  Or maybe you already have and I just haven’t checked FB yet.  Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  Much love to you, too!
